About this Klitschko said during the online briefing, said Biznestsentr.
“We plan after may 22, to resume the work of public transport as usual. To fully resume his work need some time. This is done gradually,” – said Klitschko.
He said that in the first place are resumed routes of electric transport – trams and trolleybuses.
“I appeal to the government. After may 22, but rather may 25 (…) to allow to resume the work of the capital metro”, – said Klitschko.
“Of course, we will look at the situation with the spread of the virus, and hope she doesn’t get worse” – dabwali the mayor.
Klitschko also said that the idea of passes for travel in the subway is “utopian”, as this will be a large queue.
“Metro should be open to work in regular mode”, – said the mayor.
While Klitschko has asked Kiev to limit your trips in public transport, to use protective masks and gloves to visit the metro for commuting and for urgent cases.
At the same time, the Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal, speaking Wednesday in Parliament, said that to resume the work of transport, Ukraine will be able only in the third stage of exemptions of the quarantine, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“Only the third stage, subject to certain rules of sanitary, hygienic and epidemiological discipline – we will be able to afford to resume commuter service, then long distance, then the subway. Now this will undoubtedly lead to the outbreak (incidence of coronavirus – ed.)”, – said Smigel.
