Unique supercar Ferrari Sergio will sell at auction

The American auction house Gooding & Company will auction off this unique supercar Ferrari Sergio, prepared by Italian design Studio Pininfarina. It is assumed that for a rare car will be raised from 2.5 to 3 million dollars.

For the first time that car became known in 2013, when Pininfarina was presented at the Geneva motor show, the eponymous concept car. A year later the Italians introduced a small-scale version of the supercar, released in honor of automobile designer Sergio of Pininfarina, who died in 2012.

The basis for Sergio went to the platform of the Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta, which at the time of its release was the most powerful and fastest open car of the Italian brand.

While Sergio was equipped with a modified 4.5-liter supercharged V8 engine, the impact of which has been increased from 570 to 605 horsepower. Engine combined with seven-speed robotized gearbox with two clutches. The supercar can accelerate from standstill to first “hundred” for three seconds, and its maximum speed was 320 km per hour.

In all there were six of these cars. In 2017 one of the supercars yellow-black color was sold in the Netherlands over 5.6 million dollars.
