Audi may decide to show the RS4 Avant 2020 at the Frankfurt motor show in September this year. The car will receive an updated look, but his motor is likely to remain the same.
When a couple of weeks ago Audi introduced a redesigned members of the family A4, it was not a high-performance wagon RS4 Avant. It is expected that the car will be revealed in the coming months. Seeing all the other participants, including slightly less powerful S4 Avant wagon, not too difficult to imagine what changes will the “hot” station wagon.
The latest prototype was seen in the tube to show the serial rear lights and redesigned headlights. As for the younger members of the family compact, the new RS4 will get a wider front grille, located just below the front panel, along with quietly updated bumpers. Audi may also add a few new colors for the body and possibly new sets of wheels from light alloy.
We do not expect any updates for the engine, so the current 2.9-litre V6 will probably produce the same 444 HP of power and 600 Nm of torque as before. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 4.1 seconds and top speed is 280 km/h.
Although journalists were unable to look at the salon news, we already have a good idea of what there may be, as the other updated models A4/S4 lost rotary/push control in favor of the storage area in the center. The latest infotainment system MMI with a 10.1-inch touchscreen will dominate the dashboard, but it will not be integrated into the center console. Larger models such as the A6, A7, A8 and Q8 also have the added touch screen for MMI to provide access to climate settings, while the new RS4 you will still be traditional buttons and knobs.
