Aspirated petrol 1.5 MPI (115 hp, 144 Nm), six-speed “mechanics”, IVT variator and front-wheel drive – these are all the equipment available to the restyled Hyundai Creta SUV, assembled at a new plant in Indonesia. The audience is touched by the “parametric” design of the front end and calls Creta “little Tusan”, but it seems that they forget that they fell in love with the model not for the design. Bestseller status is achieved thanks to the cheapness, which Creta is rapidly losing, getting one “premium” contraption after another. There are no prices yet, because today is the premiere at the GIIAS exhibition (November 11-21).

Six “scales” in the grill play the role of navigation lights. Double-deck headlights “on the cheeks” are also LED. Together with the front bumper, the hood was replaced. The Creta is surrounded on all sides by a silver body kit. The door handles appear to be chrome plated. Wheels – 17-inch “in the base”.

In comparison with “our” Kreta (from now on she is pre-reform), there is nothing new behind, except for the details of the optional body kit from below. The length has grown by 15 mm: 4315x1790x1620 mm, between the axles 2610. There are seven shades for painting the body and three two-tone options with a black roof.

The main innovations in the cabin are a “semi-digital” instrument panel Full TFT LCD Meter Cluster (10.25 inches), an electromechanical parking brake with Auto Hold function, front seat ventilation, a cooled glove compartment, a panoramic sunroof, an air cleaner, ambient lighting. The touchscreen is always eight inches.

Along with four driving modes (Eco, Comfort, Smart, Sport), there are two traction control algorithms (“sand”, “mud”). The top-end configurations include the Hyundai SmartSense complex with auto braking, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping. The Hyundai Bluelink platform is responsible for connecting to online services. No heating has been announced, which is easily explained by the hot and humid climate of Southeast Asia, where the parametric Creta begins its career.
