The Detroit Auto Show in 2021 has been canceled, but the Americans will not be left without a car show: in a few days, a completely new six-day open-air Motor Bella festival will open.
The event website says that Ford will present Expedition at the exhibition and will talk about its new configurations, designed to “expand the attractiveness of a full-size SUV among buyers.” We believe that we are talking about the performances of Expedition ST and Expedition Timberline. Both options have come across more than once during the tests.
The updated SUV will feature redesigned lighting equipment, the radiator grille, bumpers and some interior elements will also be refurbished. The family is said to have a petrol-electric modification with the same PowerBoost V6 powerplant as the F-150 Hybrid. On a pickup, it produces 436 hp. and is based on a 3.5-liter “turbo-six” with a 35-kilowatt electric motor and a 1.5 kilowatt-hour battery. The transmission has a 10-speed automatic.
The current 3.5-liter V6 with two turbines will remain the base unit, although in the Timberline version its power may increase slightly. The engine currently generates 375 and 400 hp.
The six-day Motor Bella event will take place in Pontiac, Michigan from September 21-26 (the first two days will be open to the press only). The exhibition will be decorated with 350 cars from 35 brands.
