Mitsubishi is preparing to present the restyled Xpander cross-van – the premiere is scheduled for November 8. The Indonesian division of the company has published a teaser video dedicated to the model: the video showed upgraded optics and an updated front end. Changes in the technical part are also expected – a variator should replace the four-band automatic machine. At the same time, the engine will remain the same – in Indonesia, the model is offered with a 1.5-liter “aspirated” 105 horsepower.

The Xpander has been on sale since 2017: this is a seven-seater car, which Mitsubishi calls a crossvan, that is, a minivan with off-road design elements and an impressive ground clearance (it is 20 centimeters).

Later, the Xpander Cross was added to the line, which differs from the standard model in dimensions, plastic overlays on the arches and sills, as well as the presence of roof rails. The first restyling of the Xpander went through last year, and now it’s time for a second update.

The design of the radiator grille has changed during the first restyling, but now the stylists have also updated the optics. Xpander has got T-shaped headlights and taillights with different filling. It is difficult to understand from the video whether the modernization has affected the bumpers, but, with a high degree of probability, they have also changed. The interior was not shown, but rumors say the Xpander will receive an improved multimedia system.

The production of the updated Mitsubishi Xpander will be launched at a plant in Indonesia this year, followed by the restyled Xpander Cross.
