Veteran market failed to change the generation in Peugeot again cost easy restyling.
The second generation model entered the market in 2013, having gone through some upgrading of four years later. The main competitors of Peugeot 308 in the European market – for example, the VW Golf and Ford Focus – has managed to radically upgrade, however, the French hatch again perepalo only slight improvement.
Changes in appearance limited to expansion of the range of exterior colors with a new shade of Bleu Vertigo, and the emergence of other versions of wheel design and optional Black pack Pack. It involves the replacement of chrome parts on the exterior are glossy black: for example, can become a black grille and logo, inserts in the bumpers, edging the side Windows and wheels.
The main refinement in the interior is the emergence of virtual, digital “tidy”, a role which now takes the 10-inch screen. This new outfit, by the way, waiting for the previous restyling, but got a new dashboard Peugeot 308 just now.
In the engine range is nothing new. In Europe, a hatchback and wagon will still be powered by 1.2-litre PureTech turbo petrol or 1.5-litre diesel BlueHD. First available in 110 and 130 HP, the second develops 100 or 130 HP, while the basic version is accompanied by 6-speed manual transmission, a more powerful, 8-speed automatic. Has not changed, and the Peugeot 308 GTi, which complement the four-cylinder 1.6-liter turbo engine with recoil 263 HP and 340 Nm of torque.
The update, which should whet the interest of buyers to veteran market was restrained – but this is a good reason. Peugeot is allegedly planning to release the new generation 308, and in the next year. Against this background, a full restyling of the current model would have looked simply out of place.
