The updated Volkswagen Polo GTI hot hatch is officially presented. The adjustments in it follow in the footsteps of the changed simple Polo, and primarily we are talking about the electronics. For example, for the first time on the Polo GTI, the IQ.Drive Travel Assist autopilot appeared, capable of driving a car at speeds from zero to 210 km / h. The system is activated by a button on the steering wheel and uses a combination of adaptive cruise control and automatic lane keeping.
Some of the changes were predicted with an eye on the usual restyled Polo. The sample shown is contrasting (black) mirrors and an optional roof. The diameter of the rims: 17 inches “in the base” and 18 for an extra charge.
The tailpipes are traditionally left on the left. The new LED lights have dynamic turn signals. IQ.Light LED matrix headlights and an illuminated strip on the radiator grille are standard equipment.
The 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro boasts a higher pixel density, improved contrast and richer colors. The pillars and headliner are finished in Titanium Black, while contrasting red stitching is another constant feature of the interior. You can buy the Beats audio system (300 W) with six speakers.
The state-of-the-art MIB3 infotainment system with integrated eSIM offers natural voice control, cloud personalization, We Connect and We Connect Plus online services, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless interfaces. As before, the model sports a sporty chassis that is 15mm lower than the regular Polo. The hatchback is driven by a 2.0 TSI turbo engine (207 hp, 320 Nm), combined with a seven-speed “robot”. This replaced the previous six-speed even before restyling. It allows you to dial the first hundred from scratch in 6.5 seconds.
