AvtoVAZ has started cross-modification tests of the updated Lada Vesta sedan. Spy photos of the novelty were posted in the Avtograd News public on the Vkontakte social network. According to them, all work on the project is proceeding in accordance with the schedule. Earlier it was reported that the production of the modernized “Vesta” will start next year. There is no official confirmation of this information.
In the photos, the car is hidden under camouflage. However, we can already say that the restyled sedan will receive narrowed frontal LED optics, rectangular foglights, modified lights and a new front bumper.
Pictures of the car’s interior were not shown this time. However, before that, photo spies had several times managed to photograph the interior of the prototypes of the conventional sedan and station wagon Vesta. Judging by them, the updated model will have a new steering wheel with many buttons, and a vertically oriented multimedia system touchscreen will be installed in the center of the front panel.
According to unofficial data, the range of engines will include a “VAZ” 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 106 hp, operating exclusively in conjunction with a manual transmission. As for the 1.6-liter 114-strong “four” from Renault, it is likely to be upgraded. Also, the car will be offered with a 122-horsepower 1.8-liter unit. Transmissions – five-speed “mechanics” or variator.
