VinFast will present semi-autonomous technology level 2+


VinFast will showcase a range of advanced driver assistance systems through its recently announced partnership with ZF.

The Vietnamese automaker has confirmed that ZF will supply cameras, radars and LiDAR sensors.

Such state-of-the-art systems will enable VinFast and ZF to achieve autonomy level 2+ before work begins to develop more advanced features for driver assistants.

For example, Traffic Jam Pilot for situational autopilot or automated parking. VinFast CEO Le Thi Thu Thuy, commenting on the new partnership, noted that the two companies “are perfect for each other as our mobility goals are aligned.”

At the same time, he noted that the brand is going to expand the geography of sales of its cars.

VinFast is developing its automated driving systems with ZF in China, Germany and across North America and is expected to launch in mid-2022.
