Volkswagen has updated its Viloran minivan. A prototype of the modernized car was presented back in the fall at the showroom in Guangzhou, but only today such vehicles began to enter the dealer network, and applications were also accepted in the Middle Kingdom.
Note that the outside of the Volkswagen Viloran has not changed, and the rear of the cabin has remained untouched: as before, there are 2 separate seats on the second row (rich modifications have them with electric drive), and on the third there is a triple sofa. But Viloran now has a new front panel in the same style with the current MQB models. Volkswagen is going to implement a similar platform on many Chinese cars, including the local Teramont.
The display of the media system turned out to be larger and now stands on top of the front panel, and the central ventilation deflectors are made horizontal (instead of vertical). Side deflectors will be 2-level with separate flow control. The novelty has a small gearbox joystick, and the climate control unit has become several times smaller to a strip of touch buttons: other settings have been hidden in the multimedia menu. The external light control panel, which is located to the left of the steering column, also turned out to be touch sensitive. Finally, the finish of the upgraded Viloran turned out to be richer, and soft inserts appeared on the front panel.
The technical stuffing of the minivan has not changed. Viloran will be offered with a 2.0 TSI turbo four. two boost options (186 or 220 hp). All cars are equipped with a 7-speed preselective “robot” DSG, as well as front-wheel drive. The maximum speed of the novelty is always limited to 200 km / h. Sales of restyled Viloran minivans manufactured by SAIC Volkswagen JV will be launched in March. Volkswagen is still not going to deliver these cars outside of China.
