Volkswagen is gearing up to unveil the ID.6 on April 17, but it’s not the only electric car on the horizon. The company has launched ID.4 GTX teaser campaign.
In its tweet, the German concern posted a short video in which the letter “G” is depicted on a red background. Color is closely related to GTI models. That being said, it is clear that this is a GTX as Volkswagen asked:
“Are you ready for the next ID?”.
The company keeps the details secret. However, when the brand unveiled its EV-focused Accelerate plan in March, it confirmed that the ID.4 GTX would be unveiled in the first half of 2021.
Volkswagen did not give a specific date, but did provide a teaser. says:
Little is known about the model at the moment, but it is expected to feature a twin-engine all-wheel drive system that produces a total of 302 horsepower and 460 Nm of torque. This could allow the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in 6.2 seconds, which is a second faster than the standard ID4. In addition to the upgraded drivetrain, the ID.4 GTX can be fitted with a re-set suspension with lower ground clearance.
It will also be possible to observe minor changes in style, including red accents. There are hints of this in the teaser.
