On December 1 of this year, the next meeting of the management Board of the Volkswagen AG concern will be held. Sources familiar with the situation say that one of the issues that the Board should decide on this day will be the future fate of the company’s head Herbert Diess. The press service of the concern does not comment on this information yet.
Earlier it was reported that Herbert Diess personally asked the Board members to extend his contract as a sign of confidence. However, some members of the Board of Directors are opposed to further cooperation with Diss, which may affect the decision of the management Board.
Recall that Herbert Diess became the head of the Volkswagen Group in 2018. His contract expires in 2023, and as is customary in the company, consideration of the future fate of the head of the concern is held a year before the end of the contract.
