After the successful debut of electric ID.3 at the Frankfurt motor show, the company immediately announced three versions of home charging. Each of them will charge a car in five times faster than a standard outlet.
In the ongoing Frankfurt motor show Volkswagen presented its first series-produced electric car ID.3. The model will be released soon on the market, and the company is ready to offer a full set of gadgets and services for the car. The press service presented a series of three home charging stations with a price tag of 399 euros.
All three versions have a capacity of up to 11 kW*hours. This allows electric charge to 58 kW for six hours. All differences are provided by digital possibilities. So, the basic version is offered only with the unit itself charging station and two cables.
The more expensive version (€599) has a similar set, but is able to connect to wi-fi and transmit the information to the application about the degree of charge of the vehicle and other information. Optional available LTE module.
The most expensive version ID. Charger Pro features a built-in energy meter and prepaid LTE for the entire period of operation of the charging station. The price tag equals to 849 euros.
