The South American branch of Volkswagen has revealed the production version of the sports sedan Virtus (sold in Ukraine under the name of Polo). The novelty is distinguished by a sporty body kit in the style of European Polo GTI, the original 17-inch wheels, bi-fuel 150-horsepower engine, rich equipment and decor in the salon.
Structurally, the “charged” Polo is a little different from the usual sedans: based on the platform MQB A0 drive to the front axle. But under the hood instead of the standard “turbotrac” 1.0 or naturally aspirated engine of 1.6 liters installed forced 150-horsepower (torque 250 Nm), the 1.4 TSI motor. For the Brazilian market engine adapted to the consumption of ethanol.
Externally, the sports version give bumper with black inserts, grille and front optics diode with a red stripe piercing, drawing pyatisetovy 17-inch wheels, contrasting mirror and a tiny spoiler on the trunk lid. Red brake calipers, 18-inch wheels with a complex pattern from last year’s concept of serial sedan has not got.

In Brazil, sales of Volkswagen Virtus GTS in three-box body will begin in the first quarter of 2020. Local media believe that the price of sporthorse will begin from 100 thousand reals ($23 900). For comparison, the base sedan is 65,5 thousand reais ($15 600).
