Volkswagen showed the van for the four-legged cops

VW showed a new modification utility Caddy van, which is specially designed for police canine services.

After the wagon for transportation of detainees Volkswagen has developed another COP car – this time for four-legged police officers. Its body is equipped with a removable cover for dogs, which meets all the requirements of the European legislation regarding the transport of animals and is equipped with air conditioning with temperature control.

If the dogs in the compartment will be too hot or too cold, the driver will receive a notification and will be able to adjust the temperature without getting up from the driver’s seat. The modification of the car was engaged in Atelier PressFab Evo from the British County of Bedfordshire. The van also received an led beam on roof, blue strobe lights in the grille and special color scheme on the body.

From a technical standpoint it is a regular Caddy in the Highline with a two-liter diesel engine producing 148 horsepower and six-speed ??manual transmission. It can speed up to 191 km/h and promises average fuel consumption of just 5 liters per 100 kilometers. The division of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles believe that the special purpose van for dogs on the basis of the Caddy – “it’s exactly what you need the police.”
