The flagship SUV of the German brand received a new useful option, which can be controlled from a smartphone.
Volkswagen Touareg is the first in the brand’s model range to have a remote Parking function. It is based on the Parking assistance system. Additionally, it gets four cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors at once.
As a result, the Touareg is able to maneuver in Parking. You can control this process from an ordinary smartphone – it turns into a kind of remote control. At the same time, the developers offered drivers several scenarios.
In the first case, the driver may not leave their seat. All it has to do is press “P” on the display. After that, the car will find suitable Parking spaces on its own: the multimedia screen will show them. The driver will only have to choose the option they like and use the new feature.
The second scenario differs from the first in that the driver may leave the car before Parking. Here your smartphone comes into play with a special app.
At the same time, the car owner will need to hold down the “Drive” button on the smartphone. As soon as it stops tapping on the screen, the car will stop.
