Volvo is developing a new electric crossover that will be the most compact and affordable model in the Swedish automaker’s green lineup. It is assumed that the new product will be called XC20 or XC30, according to plans it will enter the market in 2023.
There are almost no specific details about the new subcompact electric crossover. It is assumed that all its modifications will receive only one electric motor (most likely on the front axle), and in terms of price and equipment, the car will certainly surpass all its competitors, including such models as Ford Puma, Peugeot 2008-e and Opel Mokka-e.
Meanwhile, the Volvo lineup already has two full-fledged electric cars – the XC40 P8 Recharge and C40 Recharge crossovers. The first is an electric version of the standard XC40 crossover, while the second was originally designed as an electric car.
