Volvo XC90 next generation will be transferred to electric


Volvo XC90 next generation will hit the market in 2022 and will be available in both hybrid and pure electric versions.

This year the Volvo XC90 will be seven years, so soon the crossover will be replaced by generation: according to the publication Autocar, this will happen in 2022. The third generation of a Swedish car for the first time in the history of the model will get a fully electric version. Crossover will build on the updated brand platform SPA. In addition to the purely electric version of the XC90 will be offered with a hybrid power plant based on the gasoline motor.


Diesel engines in the model lineup will not be for reasons of principle. In addition to electrification, Volvo also announced that the next-generation XC90 will get a system of semi-Autonomous driving of the fourth level. It should allow the driver to control the car without using your hands and to look away from the road. However, the introduction of this technology will depend on which countries and when will it be allowed for mass use.
