Volkswagen ID. 3 hatchback, according to the Agency JATO Dynamics, in October found 10,590 buyers in the top 27 markets of Europe, of which 10,475 – in the largest twenty markets. The incident with flaws in the software gradually began to forget, but the ratio of parameters and price list (from 34,112 euros in Germany) was appreciated by the public. And quite unexpectedly for a completely new ID model.3 took the first line in sales among clean electric cars in the Old World. The second place is taken by Renault Zoe (9778 units in twenty markets), and the third – by Hyundai Kona Electric (5261). The once-record-setting Tesla model 3 sedan did not even make the top ten, as after a September surge (15,824 units) in October, it failed (905 copies).
The car has nine complete sets, two versions of the engine (145 or 204 HP) and three – batteries (48, 62, 82 kWh), and the youngest of them is not yet sold, and the price list begins with the average battery. The base will give a mileage of 330 km for WLTP, medium – 416-426 (depending on the configuration), the older 542-549.
In absolute terms, excluding powertrains and classes, October sales in Europe were led by the Volkswagen Golf (27,530 units), followed by the Clio (22,588) and Corsa (21,220).
JATO company notes an interesting trend. Although the European car market as a whole declined in October by 7% (to 1.13 million) compared to October 2019, sales of electrified models (hybrids, net-charged hybrids and clean electric cars) increased by 153% (to 302,587 units), so the share of such cars in total sales reached 26.8%. Including clean electric cars increased by 197% (to 71,800).
