VW ID.Buzz was spotted without camouflage

Autoevolution has published new spy shots of the future Volkswagen electric minivan. The car is based on the concept car ID.Buzz, which in turn drew inspiration from the Transporter model of the first two generations.

Judging by the presented photos, there is very little camouflage left on the prototype of the future Volkswagen electric minivan. The large triangular window in front of the door will definitely remain with the serial version of the electric car: the Volkswagen Multivan T7 was recently presented with the same. In addition, a charging port is visible on the front fender.

On the front and back of the Volkswagen prototype, patterned overlays hide the vehicle’s true dimensions and the shape of the optics. But we can assume that the elements on the production car will look about the same as the ones drawn, but they will be more compact. The air intake of the new item will be only at the bottom, and the radiator grill will become a blank panel.

The new Volkswagen model is expected to receive a choice of batteries with capacities ranging from 48 to 111 kWh. The power reserve of the electric car will reach 550 km. In the European market, sales of Volkswagen’s freight and passenger electric vanes will start next year, so the debut of the new product can be expected by the end of 2021. At the same time, the model will appear in the USA only in 2023.
