Started in Brazil the release of the small crossover Nivus, which will reach Europe in 2021

Volkswagen has announced the launch of serial production of the new coupe-crossover Nivus, who shared the main nodes of the model Polo seventh generation. Car production started in Brazil at plant in Sao Bernardo do Campo.

The crossover was designed specifically for markets in developing countries, but in 2021 it will reach Europe – an Assembly of machines can be arranged in Spain. Crossover is built on a simplified modular platform MQB-A0 c McPherson front struts and rear semi-dependent suspension.

In South America Volkswagen Nivus will be offered exclusively with a three-cylinder turbo engine working volume of 1 liter. On petrol it develops 116 HP and ethanol capacity will grow to 128 horsepower. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

In Brazil, sales of Volkswagen Nivus will start this summer, and then he gets to Argentina and other South American States.
