Volkswagen has begun taking orders in Europe for the facelifted T-Roc R compact crossover.
Recall that a restyled version of the Volkswagen T-Roc R crossover was shown back in November last year. Now the German automaker has named the cost of the car and opened the order. The main change to the exterior design is a Taos-style LED strip on the grille, and a 9.2-inch display has been added to the options list.
There are no technical changes. Under the hood of the crossover, there is still a 2.0-liter TSI turbo four with 300 hp. (400 Nm). The motor is paired with a 7-speed DSG “robot” and an all-wheel drive system. The Volkswagen T-Roc R can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.
You can also distinguish the restyled T-Roc R by the rear bumpers with a black insert and the letter R instead of the model name on the trunk lid.
From older crossovers, the T-Roc R received IQ.Light matrix LED headlights, adaptive cruise control with lane control and the We Connect telematics system. The R-version of the model also received a new multifunction steering wheel with touch switches.
After the update, the starting price of the T-Roc R has risen to 48,445 euros. Akrapovic exhaust system, leather upholstery and 19-inch wheels are offered for a surcharge.
The company’s representative office does not report the timing of the appearance of the updated T-Roc R at official dealers. Is it worth waiting for it in Ukraine? Probably not.
