This new product is slightly different from the well-known Skoda Karoq, which can compete with the bestsellers in its segment. Note that this model was presented in China under the name Tharu back in 2018 and is a redesigned Skoda Karoq.
The power plant for the models is also the same, it is a 1.6-liter petrol unit with 110 hp, which works together with “mechanics” or “automatic” and front-wheel drive, as well as a 1.4-liter turbo engine with recoil 150 hp, combined with an “automatic” for front-wheel drive versions and with a “robot” for all-wheel drive versions.
Taos has excellent prospects due to the versions with “automatic” and “aspirated” 1.6. The Polo liftback has such a modification that is in greatest demand, while the Skoda Karoq platform-based Skoda Karoq does not have it. At the moment, it is known that Volkswagen Taos will be offered on the market in three modifications, these are Respect, Status and Exclusive. In addition, a limited edition Joy will also be available for order at market launch!
Each of the versions of the Volkswagen Taos can also be retrofitted with packages with an extended list of equipment, as well as some individual options. It is known that the price tag of the Volkswagen Taos will range between the brand’s bestsellers, namely the Polo and the Tiguan. At the same time, the top-end Taos configuration will overlap in cost with the initial Tiguan modifications.
