VW unveils ‘toothy’ Taos

German auto giant Volkswagen has unveiled a special off-road version of the Taos crossover. For a more comfortable ride in difficult conditions, the vehicle’s ground clearance has been increased, as well as a plastic body kit and powerful floodlights on the roof.

Volkswagen also offers a two-tone body paint option for this Taos version. Also in the pictures from the presentation you can see special tires that have increased cross-country ability. The dimensions of the car have not changed and are 4417x1841x1602.

Customers will be offered two types of engine to choose from – a classic naturally aspirated one with a volume of 1.6 liters and an output of 110 hp. or a more modern 1.4-liter turbo engine capable of delivering 150 hp. In the highest trim levels, buyers can rely on an all-wheel drive system.

Inside the car there is a modern multimedia complex with a large screen, and climate control for 2 zones has been added for the comfort of passengers.

In the meantime, it became known that Hyundai is going to accelerate the appearance of the updated Santa Fe crossover. This is due to the desire to increase sales of the model, which have recently declined.
