KIA on July 12 presented the VIP version of the KIA Carnival High Limousine minivan for the domestic market of South Korea. If a standard car is produced with seven or eight seats, then there are only four of them. But what!
Usually, representative versions of cars are distinguished primarily by their increased length, but the usual Carnival also has gigantic dimensions by the standards of passenger cars: its length is 5155 mm with a wheelbase of 3090 mm, so the body was not lengthened, but increased in height – it is not installed at all at the top an additional trunk, as it might seem at first glance, but a special plastic superstructure that increases the level of the ceiling and, as a result, the space above your head.
At the back, there are two individual chairs with Nappa leather trim and massage function. For the first time in the KIA model range, the special version of Carnival has a separate foot massager. It was developed in collaboration with Hutech, a wellness device company. An air purifier is installed in the back of the front passenger seat. The floor is flat, with a laminate finish.
There are compartments for cold and hot drinks that maintain the set temperature. Nearby – wireless charging for smartphones. VIP passengers can operate various systems using a 7-inch touch screen. A 21.5-inch display is integrated into the ceiling.
The top version of the Carnival is equipped with an uncontested 3.5-liter petrol V6 with a capacity of 294 hp. and an eight-speed “automatic”. The suspension has been re-tuned for a more comfortable way.
At home, an executive minivan costs from 86.8 million won (= 75.5 thousand dollars). Basic Carnival charges less than half that amount.
