Opel brought to the market the second generation of the Insignia in 2017. However, this has not increased the demand for the model: sales in Europe continued to decline. So, in 2018, were sold 424 67 car, which is 6.8% lower than a year earlier. In January-November last year, the Insignia has sold 42 683 instance – the value for the specified period fell by 34%. Apparently, the company hopes that the update will increase the interest to the model.

We will remind, at the end of 2019, the company showed a restyled exterior versions liftback and station wagon. Major changes occurred in the front part: the liftback and the wagon was enlarged brand logo, round fog lights, a wider grille made of voluminous cells with chrome elements (like the new Corsa), other head optics. Now the daytime running lights are placed at the bottom of the headlight, each unit uses for 32 LEDs and 84 (the company claim that they are faster to respond to changes in traffic conditions). Feeds have changed under: slightly reworked bumper, silver exhaust pipes on two sides of steel trapezoidal (used to be oval).

Note, the “charged” version black grille, another form of fog lights, lower air intake and rear bumper.

Depending on the configuration of the touch screen can be a diagonal of either 7 or 8 inches, and seats are trimmed with fabric, leather or Alcantara. The equipment includes new rear view camera and tracking system for vehicles moving in the transverse direction.

During the presentation, the company talked about the motors updated liftback and station wagon. For the “normal” versions available petrol engines volume of 1.4 and 2.0 liter returns 145 (236 Nm) and 200 HP (350 Nm), respectively, and 1.5-liter diesel engine capacity of 122 HP (300 Nm). “Charged” version of GSi, which brought on a motor show in Brussels, has four-wheel drive and is equipped with a 230-horsepower gasoline turbo engine volume 2.0 liters (350 Nm) with the system off two cylinders at low loads (it reduces fuel consumption by 18%). The basic petrol and diesel engines are paired with six-speed “mechanics”, more powerful gasoline – with a nine-storyed “automatic”.

Recall that the pre-reform Insignia is offered in Europe with gasoline engines of 1.5 and 1.6 liters, with a return of 140, 165 and 200 HP, and diesel engines volume of 1.6 and 2.0 liters capacity of 136, 170 and 210 HP comes with 6МКП, 6АКП and an eight “automatic”.
