Weltmeister M7 debuted with a fourth-level autopilot

The full-fledged premiere of the Weltmeister M7 model with the disclosure of all details will take place in November 2021 at the Guangzhou Motor Show.

WM Motor has been producing electric cars under the Weltmeister trademark since 2019. The company itself is Chinese, and the German origin of the brand is due to cooperation with Isdera, which in the 20th century became famous for the development of supercars, and now helps Chinese specialists in creating and fine-tuning electric cars. There are three crossovers in the Weltmeister range (EX5, EX6 Plus and W6), and the E5 midsize sedan has recently appeared. Now the turn has come for the flagship of the brand: we are talking about the Weltmeister M7 sedan.

It is noted that the M7 model evolved from last year’s Maven concept car, but retained only the general style, changing proportions and losing a fair amount of originality. The dimensions of the new Weltmeister M7 are comparable to Lexus ES or Genesis G80 sedans: length is 4930 mm, wheelbase is 2918 mm.

The developers of the Weltmeister M7 announced the fourth level autopilot for the novelty, which implies fully autonomous vehicle control with the involvement of the driver only in exceptional cases. For this, the new M7 is equipped with three lidars at once (one on the roof and two in the front fenders), 7 cameras with a resolution of 8 megapixels, 4 cameras of 2 megapixels, 5 mm radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors. An Nvidia Orin-X chip with a performance of 254 tops (trillion operations per second) is responsible for the autopilot.

There is no information about the electrical stuffing of the Weltmeister M7 sedan yet. Only the estimated cruising range on a single charge is declared, it reaches 700 km. Even the interior of the car is not yet ready and is shown only on computer renders. The main features will be a screen in front of the passenger built into the dash panel trim, as well as an i-Rota selector on the center console. The full-fledged debut of the Weltmeister M7 sedan with disclosure of all details will take place in November 2021 at the Guangzhou Motor Show. The novelty will be on the conveyor only next year.

Although it is definitely an unfinished replica, I would be interested in contact details, anyway. Maybe this could be an interesting project.
