The production of the ZAZ-1102 “Tavria” car was discontinued quite a long time ago, back in 2007. However, this model is haunted by fans, and they are trying to visualize a model of a car that could be produced at the present time.

Ukrainian designer Roman Pryadko presented his original render of ZAZ “Tavria” Nova 2022. He posted the photo on his Facebook page.

It should be noted that this is not the only render for Pryadko. He often does similar design projects for foreign media.

The designer’s sketch is based on the 1997 Tavria model, but added more modern outlines, large rims and an aerodynamic body. The three-door hatchback received several black bumpers, a sloping windshield and several embossings on the body.

History of the car Tavria

The creation of the Soviet and Ukrainian car “Tavria” began in 1987. A class 2 car of an especially small class with a front-wheel drive hatchback body was created. Serially produced from 1987 to 2007. Until 2011, models were produced on the platform of this car.

ZAZ-1103 “Slavuta”, ZAZ-1105 “Dana” and pickup truck ZAZ-11055 became Tavria’s receivers.

Development of Tavria began at the Kommunar plant in the late 1960s – in order to replace the famous Zaporozhets. Several experimental models were created, but the technical specification for the development was not officially received until 1978.

The concept changed, and the car began to be designed in the likeness of the 1976 Ford Fiesta. Before the first models were released, the concept was changed several times.

The first “Tavria” rolled off the assembly line on November 18, 1987. The cost of the first models was 5100 rubles.

In 1998, a new development appeared – “Tavria-Nova”. Officially, the mass production of the model was completed in 2007, but in 2008 and 2009 two batches were assembled at the request of government agencies.
