Today, an online presentation of KIA’s plans was held, which was dedicated to THE brand’s new global strategy.
As part of the online presentation, it was announced that the premiere of the fifth-generation Sportage will take place in the first half of this year. Earlier it was reported that the new KIA Sportage was supposed to debut in the first half of last year. The release date of the new product had to be changed due to uncertainty in the design and technical aspects of the crossover.
The new KIA Sportage will be based on the platform of its “brother” – already presented Hyundai Tucson new generation. The updated Sportage will receive a revised design with two-tiered headlights and a completely original interior.
The power line of the new KIA Sportage will get from Hyundai Tucson. So, the updated Tucson has a wide range of gasoline and diesel engines, as well as hybrid modifications, depending on the market. It is known that the new Sportage, among other things, will get an upgraded all-wheel drive system with new driving modes.
