Skoda prepares to debut its first electric crossover Enyaq. The Czech company shared a simple teaser news and named the date of the debut, the premiere will take place on 1 September in Prague. In selling Enyaq will appear not earlier than 2021.
It is known that the novelty is based on a modular platform MEB, Volkswagen designed specifically for electric vehicles. Skoda Enyaq iV, whose image had already shown spy pictures from road tests, similar to the Volkswagen platform ID.4, and the dimensions are close to Kodiaq. Length, width and height equal Enyaq 4685, 1877, and 1618 mm, respectively.
Enyaq not only marks a return to rear-wheel drive, but will become the most powerful model in the line of Skoda.
“Hot” RS version of the electric car will get a powertrain, outstanding 306 horsepower – more than 280-HP engine, the flagship Superb. Polnoprivodnyj Enyaq vRS will be able to accelerate from zero to “hundred” for 6,2 seconds, and power reserve without charging to 460 kilometers.
Those for whom the range is more important than power, offer version iV 80 with rear wheel drive and the traction battery the capacity of 82 kilowatt-hours that provides up to 500 moves on to the WLTP cycle. Battery charging from 10 to 80 percent takes about 40 minutes.
Will also be available, and more modest versions: basic Enyaq iV50 will complement a battery of 55 kWh and the engine power of 148 forces. The reserve will amount to 340 kilometres. Version iV60 will be offered with a battery capacity of 52 kilowatt-hours, allowing you to drive on a single charge up to 390 kilometres.
