Premium brand Genesis will unveil the next generation G90 flagship sedan in November 2021. The portal TheKoreanCarBlog writes about this with reference to its own sources, which also posted spy shots of the prototype of the future novelty.
It is noted that the next generation Genesis G90 will receive an autonomous control system that corresponds to the third level autopilot. The novelty will also be equipped with optical LiDAR rangefinders, as well as a complex of cameras and ultrasonic sensors.
This means that the driver will not be required to react immediately, since the artificial intelligence itself will be able to take the necessary actions depending on the specific road situation, and the steering, gearbox and braking system will be electronically controlled at this moment. However, the driver must be ready to take over at any time.
Recall that it was previously reported that with the Genesis update, the G90 will receive an adaptive air suspension for the first time, which will be offered as an option. The engine line-up will retain the current 5.0-liter V8 engine. One of the features of the interior of the new G90 will be the absence of traditional interior door handles – mechanical elements will be replaced with buttons.
