From the bottom of the ocean is raised a couple of pickups, the Chevrolet Silverado, who drowned there two years ago.
The Australian Department of Maritime safety (AMSA) in 25 kilometers from the coast of Australia found 80 containers accidentally dropped from a cargo vessel YM Efficiency. Raised containers were delivered to the port of Newcastle for waste recycling and open in a special room, where their contents were discovered for the first time.
Nine containers discovered in the second week of work to save the cargo, was found interior items, plastics, scooters, tires and two new Chevrolet Silverado.
It is known that two years ago, the pickups were sent on Board ship from the US to Australia, where they expect a permutation of the steering wheel on the left side. The cost of each pickup with a diesel engine Duramax at that time, taking into account the transport cost was 150 thousand Australian dollars.
“Obviously, the car suffered a bad fall to the bottom. The Windows are broken – all within two years there was water, so all rotted,” – commented on the find a representative of AMSA.
All materials, as well as others, which can be saved in the future, will be processed and turned into scrap metal, including metal containers and trucks.
