A week earlier, a Ram Revolution trademark application filed by American automaker Ram was discovered. Then a proposal would have been made that the name Revolution would be given to the new electric pickup truck of the brand, so far known under the index 1500 BEV. Now it turned out that this will be the name of the social platform for customers, enthusiasts and fans of Ram, where they will collect feedback and publish unique content about the development process of new products.
The Ram Revolution website will feature “unique content and visual effects” as well as the ability to communicate online with the brand’s management. The company also plans to hold a series of offline meetings with potential buyers of the Ram Real Talk Tour, where the automaker will collect opinions on electric pickups, which he promises to take into account when developing 1500 BEV. The premiere of the electric pickup will take place in 2024.
At the same time, Ram posted a video teaser, but the car itself was not shown, since the project is still at the stage of “preliminary design research”. It is known about the future model that it will be built on the STLA Frame platform, while the automaker promises to keep the frame structure. Judging by the early images, the electric pickup will not look like the current 1500 at all – it will receive a streamlined body with smooth lines and narrowed front LED optics with a full-width luminous strip.
The Ram 1500 BEV is expected to offer several battery options ranging from 159 to 200 kilowatt-hours, and a range of about 800 kilometers. For comparison, the maximum range of the Ford F-150 Lightning is 482 kilometers, and the Hummer EV is 560 kilometers. Tesla Cybertruck will become another competitor of the novelty in the US market.
