Ford completed production of the Fusion sedan in North America back in July 2020. Its European counterpart Mondeo will hold out on the assembly line until 2022. The next-gen Fusion and Mondeo should return as a sedan and crossover sedan / station wagon. They also have a similarly styled model from China – the Ford Evos EV crossover. True, in the Chinese market, this crossover is positioned as a lower-level model.
In May of this year, a prototype of the future Fusion / Mondeo was already captured by photo-spies, then it was carefully wrapped in camouflage. Now they came across a prototype with less camouflage. The taillights are virtually unmasked. The rear dimensions have horizontal stripes curved down the edges of the car and 3 vertical stripes, in the style of “Mustangs”.
From the paparazzi photos and renders, we already roughly understand how the new product will look, but there is no clear understanding of the new generation Fusion / Mondeo body types.
The front of future models may look close to the render above.
