Chinese electric vehicle startup XPeng plans to expand its production to the market by introducing robotics and flying cars, founder and CEO He Xiaopeng told CNBC on September 9.
According to He, all automakers will sooner or later produce robots – some in 10 years, and some in 30. He also sees robots as a vehicle for slow movement across terrain with a variety of obstacles.
We want to present a flying car that can take off or land vertically, a flying car of low and medium height, – said Xiaopeng.
According to insider information, XPeng is preparing to take orders for flying cars from 2022. Company representatives did not comment on this information.
XPeng also plans to launch new models of electric vehicles. On September 15, the group will begin deliveries of the P5 sedan, its first model equipped with an autopilot. Sales of the P7 electric car have already started in Europe in August. Thus, the company announced its ambitions to enter the international market.
