China’s ambitious startup XPeng has shared sales results for its flagship P7 sedan. According to the cnevpost.com portal, more than 50 thousand cars have been sold so far.
Interestingly, according to the Chinese market database, 46,777 units were delivered from July last year (when the sedan went on sale) to August. Consequently, in incomplete September, the manufacturer delivered just over 3.2 thousand cars.
In addition, the company showed a portrait of the average buyer of the P7 model. More than 47% of consumers are people from 26 to 35 years old. That is, the audience for an electric car is, by and large, very young. Moreover, the vast majority of those who bought the model live in the richest cities in China.
Of particular note is the fact that 98.9 percent of customers chose the P7 trim levels, which have the XPILOT 2.5 autonomous driving system or the more modern XPILOT 3.0. At the same time, the autopilot is actively used, according to XPeng, in total, users were able to drive 10.9 million kilometers in autonomous mode.
So far, the company is doing more than successful. In addition to excellent sales at home, XPeng is also actively receiving pre-orders for the budget P5 sedan, which has caused quite a stir thanks to the presence of the lidar. It is impossible not to note the successes in the export direction – the Norwegian market has extremely positively received the G3 crossover, and now the delivery of the P7 sedan is planned.
