Sales of a new generation of one of the most popular Yamaha city phones will begin in a month.
The changes affected both the appearance and the hardware. Engineers have worked on a liquid-cooled 124 cc single-barrel, improving the torque distribution and even slightly – to 11.8 hp. – increasing the maximum power. And this is against the background of the fact that the engine now meets the requirements of Euro 5! In addition, the scooter received a Start-Stop system, which turns off the engine during stops at traffic lights and starts it again when the brake is released and the throttle is turned.
The exterior of the updated NMAX 125 is made in the same style as its older brothers, XMAX and TMAX. The scooter is equipped with dual head optics – of course, LED, with daytime running lights. Rear light and direction indicators also with LEDs.
An important innovation is the gas tank that has almost doubled in volume. It now holds 11 liters of fuel, compared to 6.6 for the previous generation. The volume of the seatpost has also grown, now it can accommodate a full-fledged integral helmet.
At first, the updated Yamaha NMAX 125 will be available only in the domestic Japanese market, but later should appear in Europe.
